What PDF forms does this support?
The Form Filler supports interactive AcroForm PDFs — the standard format used by government forms, tax forms, legal contracts, HR forms, and business documents created with Adobe Acrobat, LibreOffice, InDesign, or any PDF authoring tool. It supports text fields, checkboxes, and dropdown menus. Signature fields are not fillable in this tool — use the PDF Sign tool separately.
The PDF has text areas but no fillable fields — can I still fill it?
If the PDF was created as a static document (scanned form, a Word document exported to PDF, or an image-based form), there are no interactive fields. You would need to annotate it manually using the PDF Annotate tool (add text notes over each field area). Alternatively, use the PDF OCR tool first if it's a scanned document, then annotate.
Is the filled PDF editable after I download it?
The output PDF has all form fields flattened — the values are baked into the page content and the interactive form layer is removed. This makes the output look exactly as filled in any viewer, and prevents further changes. If you need an editable output (keeping the form fields filled but still interactive), contact FileConvertIt support for the premium version.
Will my data be saved or transmitted?
No. All form filling happens entirely in your browser. Neither the PDF file nor the data you type into the form fields is ever uploaded to any server. FileConvertIt has no access to your form data.
