Frequently Asked Questions

Can I rotate individual pages instead of all pages?
Yes. After dropping your PDF, every page renders as a thumbnail. Use the ↺ and ↻ buttons on each card to rotate that page independently by 90° steps. Only the pages you touch are changed.
What does 'Set All Upright' do?
It forces every page to 0° absolute rotation regardless of its current orientation. This is the fastest way to fix a PDF where different pages are at 90°, 180°, or 270° — one click aligns them all.
Does the preview show the actual output orientation?
Yes. The thumbnail CSS rotates to reflect exactly what the exported PDF will look like. The angle badge (e.g. '90°') shows the final absolute rotation stored in the PDF.
Are rotations stored as metadata or are pages re-rendered?
Rotations are stored as a metadata flag in each page's PDF dictionary — the content stream is never re-rendered. This means the operation is lossless and near-instant regardless of file size.
Why do some pages already show an angle badge on load?
Some PDFs store a non-zero rotation in their page data (common with scanned documents). The badge shows the existing rotation. If a page already shows 90°, the content was saved rotated — clicking ↺ once corrects it to 0°.
