Three Ways to Sign a PDF
Draw — use your mouse or touchscreen to hand-draw your signature on the canvas. Type — enter your name and it is rendered in an elegant italic font. Upload — upload a PNG or JPG of a pre-made signature (tip: photograph your handwritten signature on white paper and upload it).
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this a legally binding electronic signature?
The signature created by this tool is a visual representation — it draws your signature as an image onto the PDF page. This type of signature (called a 'wet-style' or 'wet-ink appearance' electronic signature) is legally sufficient for most everyday documents such as agreements, consent forms, and correspondence in many jurisdictions. For documents requiring a cryptographic digital signature with PKI certification (e.g. legal contracts requiring notarisation, government forms, or banking documents), you need a qualified electronic signature (QES) service.
Can I sign multiple pages?
The current tool places a signature on one page per operation. To sign multiple pages, you can run the tool multiple times — sign page 1, download, then upload the result and sign page 2. Multi-page signing with different positions per page is on the roadmap.
My drawn signature looks too thin on the PDF — can I make it thicker?
The drawing canvas uses a fixed 2pt pen width. For a bolder signature, try the Type mode which renders in a larger italic font, or upload a pre-made signature image created in a drawing app where you can control stroke width.
