Frequently Asked Questions
Can I change the watermark text, position, and opacity?
Yes. You can customise the watermark text, choose from 5 positions (center diagonal, top/bottom left/right), adjust opacity from 5% to 80%, set the rotation angle from -90 to 90 degrees, change font size, and pick any colour using the colour picker. All settings are applied to every page of the PDF.
Will the watermark be permanent?
The watermark is drawn as a static text element directly onto each PDF page using pdf-lib. It becomes part of the page content and cannot be removed by simply clicking 'delete' in a PDF reader. It is effectively permanent in the output file. If you need a removable watermark, keep the original file and only share the watermarked version.
Can I add an image watermark (company logo)?
The current version supports text watermarks only. Image watermark support (embedding a PNG/SVG logo) is on the roadmap. For image watermarks, you can use the PDF Sign tool which allows you to embed an uploaded image onto a specific page at a custom position.
