How PowerPoint to PDF Works

The converter uses JSZip to unpack the .pptx file and fast-xml-parser to extract text content from each slide's XML. Each slide is rendered as a separate page in the PDF at the original slide dimensions, preserving the widescreen aspect ratio. The entire process runs locally in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are slide animations included?
No. Animations and transitions are not supported in a static PDF. Each slide is captured in its final resting state.
What about slide backgrounds and images?
Background images and embedded pictures are not currently rendered. Only text content from each slide is included. Slide layouts with pure text content work best.
The text positions look off — why?
Text positions are translated from PowerPoint's EMU coordinate system to PDF coordinates. Complex layouts with overlapping text boxes may not render perfectly in a browser-based converter. For pixel-perfect results, use PowerPoint's built-in export.
Does it support .ppt (older PowerPoint format)?
No. Only .pptx (PowerPoint 2007+) files are supported. Open your .ppt file in PowerPoint or Google Slides and save it as .pptx first.
What is the output page size?
Each page in the PDF matches the slide dimensions of your presentation. Standard widescreen presentations (16:9) produce 720×405pt pages. You can use PDF Resize to convert to A4 after download if needed.
