The Legacy Engine
Backward Compatibility for Enterprise Sales, Banking & Manufacturing

AI decks are beautiful. But the client's boardroom PC is from 2018, running a locked-down Windows image with only Arial. And they want a printed handout. The Legacy Engine fixes both problems — universal fonts and zero transitions — in seconds.

The Problem

  • AI decks using Poppins, Lato, or Inter render with broken fallbacks on enterprise Windows — IT blocks font installation via Group Policy
  • Morph transitions cause overlapping text on boardroom printers and PDF exports — looks broken in every delivery scenario
  • Cloud PPTX tools upload confidential board decks and deal books to remote servers — GDPR obligations, NDA exposure, data residency risk

The Fix

  • Safe-Font Nuke replaces every non-standard font across slides, themes, and masters with Arial or Calibri — one click, any locked-down PC
  • Transition Flattener strips all p:transition XML — deck prints cleanly and PDFs without overlapping text on any machine
  • The Legacy Engine processes files in browser memory via JSZip Web Workers — zero upload, zero server, zero data residency risk

Tool 19

Transition Flattener

Strips all slide transitions — Morph, Push, Fade, Wipe, and every other type. Morph transitions cause text to overlap when printed; this removes them completely, leaving a print-safe, PDF-safe, boardroom-ready file.

Who uses the Legacy Engine

🏦

Enterprise Sales Teams

Walking into a client site where you can't control the presentation PC. Safe-Font Nuke + Transition Flattener in 10 seconds = a deck that works no matter what Windows image is on that conference room laptop.

🏭

Manufacturing & Industrial

Operations reports and plant manager presentations go on factory floor workstations and SCADA integration PCs that are years behind on Windows updates. The Legacy Engine makes your deck work everywhere.

🏢

Finance & Banking

Board presentations and deal books need to print perfectly and display on Bloomberg Terminal workstations. No custom fonts, no transitions — just clean, functional, boardroom-grade slides.

The Legacy-Safe Workflow

  1. 1

    Run Safe-Font Nuke

Drop your AI deck. Select Arial. All Poppins, Lato, Inter, Raleway replaced globally — slides, theme, masters, layouts. Download the _arial_safe.pptx.

  2. 2

    Run Transition Flattener

Drop the _arial_safe.pptx. All Morph, Push, Fade transitions stripped. Download the _print_ready.pptx.

  3. 3

Test on a clean Windows machine

Open the output in PowerPoint on a standard Windows image. Confirm fonts render correctly and no layout issues appeared from the font substitution.

  4. 4

    Print or present

Send to the print room or bring to the client site. The deck will render identically on any Windows PC, project correctly on any boardroom projector, and print without overlap.

Frequently asked questions

What is the Legacy Engine suite?
Two tools for enterprise PPTX compatibility: Safe-Font Nuke replaces all custom fonts with Arial or Calibri for locked-down Windows PCs; Transition Flattener removes all slide transitions for print-safe, boardroom-safe output. Both run free, in-browser, with zero upload.
Why do enterprise computers not display modern fonts?
Enterprise IT enforces Group Policy restrictions blocking font installation. AI decks use web fonts like Poppins and Lato which don't ship with Windows, causing PowerPoint to substitute ugly fallbacks that break layout.
Why do Morph transitions cause print overlap?
Morph animates elements from their starting position to their ending position. When printed, PowerPoint renders the pre-transition starting state — if elements were positioned off-screen for animation, that broken state prints.
Are both tools free?
Yes. Both are free, no account required. All processing runs locally in your browser via Web Workers. No files are uploaded.
